Wine Tasting: From the Mountains

Wine Tasting: From the Mountains

Nothing good comes easy and the same can be said for wine. Join us as we climb up to see a taste of what's at the top of the mountain. High altitude vineyards are not without their struggles, from windy conditions to a inability to machine harvest. The benefits of sunlight and cool tempartures for grape growing are what entise wine makers and punters alike. Somewhat barren volcanic soils host their own struggles but the complex nature of the soils have their own benefits too. We will be exploring the difficulties and benefits of both as we taste through steely assyrtiko from Santorinia to big bold reds of etna.

Food pairings will be matched to regions. If the weather persists the tasting will be hosted on the terrace.

Tickets available from £35.

English Rosé Tasting Experience

Take a journey through 6 counties, from the Southwest to the East, with a tasting event in honor of Great British Rosé Week. This 'road trip' is being put on with our friends at Marasby and is hosted by Allie Cope & Archie Patel. Join us for the opportunity to be amongst the first to try Louis Pommery's newly launched Brut Rosé, one of the first English Sparkling Wines to be made by a Champagne house from grapes grown in the UK. Also being featured is Oxney Organic Rosé from the Rother Valley in Sussex, it's one of the few certified organic vineyards in the UK and New Hall Rosé from the Crouch Valley in Essex, now recognised as one of England's best regions for still wine. Accompanying all this lovely wine will be tasty platters of English cheeses and charcuterie.

Join us on Wednesday 8th May between 6.30pm and 8pm, tickets available from £35.

Wine Tasting: Off the Beaten Path

Wine Tasting: Off the Beaten Path

This wine tasting leans into wines that are a bit atypical- we'll be steering clear of wines from France, Italy and Spain but choosing to embark on a journey of tasting wines made from Lebanon, Canada, and more. Accompanying our globetrotting endeavour we'll be trying foods traditional to the region to pair with the wines. Hosted on our beautiful little terrace (assuming the sunny British weather holds up), this is a great way to move out of your comfort zone and try something new.

Tickets available from £35.

Wine Tasting: Champagne vs. Sparkling

Wine Tasting: Champagne vs. Sparkling

Sparkling wine, in the form we know and love today, has bee produced since the late 1600s. From Champagne to Cape Town, Catalunya to Piedmont sparkling wine dominates celebrations all over the world. But who makes the best sparkling wine? Who has the best method and climate for making sparkling for those special occasions? Do we side with the old guard in France and Italy? Or do relative new comers like South Africa and Spain have the edge? Join us for a very special tasting on world champagne day! Light nibbles will be provided.

Tickets available from £40.

Wine Tasting: Beaujolais Nouveau

Following our sold out tasting last year, we will again be hosting a celebratory tasting of Beajolais nouveau.

Beajolais nouveau is the world's fastest wine which is bottled 6-8 weeks after harvest. Dating back to the 1800s, the third Thursday in November once celebrated the end of harvest but now marks the release date of this juicy and fresh gamay.

We will be cracking open four bottles from wonderful suppliers as we toast to a new year of gamay. Food will be offered in a banquet style.

Tickets available from £35.
